The course covers the following topics: Determining if being a landlord is the right option for you. Understanding NACA's education requirement to buy a multi-family property. Finding the right multi-family property. Laws and regulations governing landlord/tenant relationships. Finding the right tenants. The Tenant screening and rental application process. Notices landlords send to tenants. Landlord/tenants’ rights and responsibilities. Budgeting for repairs and vacancies. Property maintenance. Money management for landlords. The eviction process which varies by state/jurisdiction and resources for landlords.

Scholarship Eligibility

This landlord education course valued at $500.00 is completely free to NACA Members interested in learning the skills that will help them effectively manage their rental units and meet their obligations as landlords while observing federal, state and local laws and regulations.   To be eligible for the full tuition scholarship you must NACA Member when you register. After completing the registration form, your will receive a confirmation message.  Once your application is reviewed and approved, you will receive a welcome email with the instructions to join the free self-paced training course.

Certificate

Participants will receive a certificate of completion upon completing the training curriculum and final exam.
